Degree in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2005) and MA in Behavioral Therapy from the Instituto Terapéutico de Madrid(2006). He has obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Behavior Science PHD program. Currently he is working on his doctoral thesis: “Relationship between behavioral disorders and cognitive impairment measures in a geriatric centre”. This dissertation will be conducted in the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid Behavioral Sciences program in collaboration with Fundación INGEMA.
He has worked as researcher in the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and as collaborator in the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Álvaro is author and co-author of several researches in clinical psychology on the learning processes that takes place in the clinical environment, behavior and cognition in the elderly people as well as on elderly people adapted devices development.
He holds a position in Fundación INGEMA as a researcher into gerontological field: behavioral problems, neuroscience, evaluation instruments validation and user centred design, as well as in several national and international projects.
