Degree in Psychology from the Universidad Publica de Salamanca (Spain, 2004), and a Masters Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from the Universidad de Barcelona (Spain, 2004-2007). She is currently carrying out her doctoral thesis on cognitive yield in the ageing process: contribution of biopsychosocial factors-ELES, in the Department of Evolutive Psychology and Education at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
She has been working in the Fundación Ingema since 2005, and she is currently coordinating the cognition area. In this area she is mainly working on research projects related with the description, assessment and intervention in severe cognitive impairment and on the study of the cognitive processes in elderly people involved in the use of the new technologies. Awards: the “Zahartzaroa” Award 2009 for the best oral communication in the Social and Behavioural Sciences Area at the 51st Congress of the Spanish Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics; the “IMSERSO” Award 2008 for Social Research and Studies; the “Colegio de Huérfanos de Hacienda Foundation” (CHH) Research Award 2007 and the “Obra Social Caja Madrid” 2005 Award for the Best Social Study. Also, she is the author of different publications in journals in the gerontological field.
