Pura Diaz Veiga is graduated in Psychology by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain, 1979). In 1985 she obtained the Degree and in the 2004 the Advanced Studies Diploma. She Has participated in diverse research projects related to gerontology and the disability. She has been teaching in Master and Courses related to Social Gerontology and Disability in numerous Spanish institutions and also in Latin America.
During more than 20 years she has worked as Psychologist in ONCE´s Basic Attention Team in Valladolid. She is author of more than 30 publications like the guide "When the ageing people need aid", published by IMSERSO (1997) and the "Manual for the psychological intervention in the adjustment to the visual impairment", published by ONCE (2003). Likewise, she is conductor in the Spanish Geriatrics and Gerontology Society Magazine. She also has formed part of the Technical Committee of this Society and from June of 2010 she is in the board of directors.
Currently works as a researcher at Fundación Ingema as ELES project manager.
